Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald is the engine of a Gruul exile-matters deck that turns cascade and impulse draw into a growing wolf army. The primary plan is to play Faldorn early, then chain spells cast from exile through Outpost Siege, cascade, Etali, and similar effects to make Wolf tokens and bury opponents in card advantage. Secondary paths include a big-mana top end with Apex Devastator and Plargg and Nassari, direct damage from Warstorm Surge, and an alpha-strike finish with End-Raze Forerunners or Return of the Wildspeaker. Laelia, the Blade Reforged acts as a backup exile payoff. The deck is a resilient value deck that wins through combat rather than a compact combo, and its pace depends on keeping Faldorn on the battlefield and connecting with Etali.
