cEDH Ral by decksanddice

Format: Commander

Commander: Ral, Monsoon Mage // Ral, Leyline Prodigy

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a UR spell-slinger combo deck built around Ral, Monsoon Mage's cost reduction. The front face is the primary engine; the transform trigger is secondary, and the Leyline Prodigy side functions as a value planeswalker offering reach damage, card draw, and additional discounting. The main plan is a storm kill using Underworld Breach plus Lion's Eye Diamond plus Brain Freeze, supported by Bonus Round, Frantic Search, wheel effects, and ritual chains. Ral is a helpful accelerant rather than a required combo piece, and redundant recursion through Past in Flames, Invoke Calamity, and Pinnacle Monk lets the deck rebuild through disruption. No hidden commander exists beyond the two Ral faces working toward the same plan.
