Octopus Free Spells by Scapegoat_Tom

Format: Commander

Commander: Marvo, Deep Operative

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Dimir deck focuses on Marvo, Deep Operative to cheat colossal threats into play by winning clashes on attack. By pairing high-cost bombs with cheap library-manipulation spells like Brainstorm, Soothsaying, and Diabolic Vision, the deck consistently stacks high mana values on top of the library. Once Marvo attacks and wins a clash, it draws a card and casts spells with mana value 8 or less for free, dropping massive payoffs like Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, One with the Multiverse, or Hullbreaker Horror. Primary victories stem from overwhelming board presence, grave theft, top-deck burn from Baneful Omen and Twilight Prophet, or combat damage.
