Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck unites a roster of Marvel villains under Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The strategy focuses on curving out aggressive Villain creatures, utilizing repetitive connive mechanics to sculpt your hand, fill the graveyard, and distribute +1/+1 counters. When land cards are discarded through connive or looting, Doctor Doom drains life directly from each opponent, turning card selection into burn. Midgame support cards like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Madame Hydra, and Ultron, Unlimited expand your board presence with artifact tokens and team-wide buffs. High-end threats such as The Squadron Sinister and Living Laser grant evasion and burst damage to close out games through aggressive combat. The deck backs up its board with flexible creature and permanent removal, resilient recursion engines like Tombstone, Career Criminal and Containment Construct, and light taxing effects that deter incoming attacks.
