CRAB by Darkay

Format: Commander

Commander: Charix, the Raging Isle

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-blue deck is built around Charix, the Raging Isle as an enormous Voltron threat. The primary plan is to deploy Charix early, suit it up with equipment like Swiftfoot Boots, Commander's Plate, and Blackblade Reforged, then use Charix's activated ability to exchange its 0 power for the number of Islands you control, turning it into a one-shot commander-damage beatstick. The deck leans heavily on Island-count synergies: High Tide, Caged Sun, and The Water Crystal amplify mana, while Stormtide Leviathan and Scourge of Fleets present alternative big bodies. Bounce wipes like Engulf the Shore and Whelming Wave clear the board asymmetrically (your own creatures often survive or are recurred), and a small mill subtheme with Hedron Crab and Ruin Crab offers a secondary path. The deck lacks fast tutors and explosive combos, instead relying on incremental advantage from combat triggers (Bident of Thassa, Sword of Hearth and Home) and resilient recursion through Mystic Sanctuary.
