Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos strategy commanded by Gev, Scaled Scorch that blends +1/+1 counter beatdown with relentless group-slug burn. The core engine turns early chip damage into substantial board growth: once any opponent loses life in a turn, Gev enters all subsequent creatures with additional +1/+1 counters while providing incidental ping damage whenever you cast Lizard spells. Supported by efficient 1-drop and 2-drop enablers like Creeping Bloodsucker and Hired Claw, the deck smoothly curves into multi-body threats such as Agate Instigator, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, and Song of Totentanz. These creatures enter as oversized attackers while triggering widespread damage through Impact Tremors and Molten Gatekeeper. Finishers like Uncivil Unrest and Valley Flamecaller rapidly accelerate the clock, closing out 40-life pods across all three opponents by Turn 7. The interaction suite packs low-cost removal and targeted graveyard hate, giving the deck strong board control while maintaining full-throttle offensive pressure.
