Deck overview

This deck is a Jund +1/+1 counters, aristocrats, and combat-focused build commanded by Szarel, Genesis Shepherd. The strategy leverages dense low-cost ramp like Birds of Paradise, Sol Ring, and Exploration to accelerate Szarel onto the battlefield ahead of curve. Once deployed, Szarel weaponizes sacrifice triggers from permanents like Lotus Field, Cankerbloom, and Throne of Geth to distribute massive +1/+1 counters across your board while recurring lands from the graveyard. The deck translates this physical dominance into swift eliminations using potent damage multipliers such as Xenagos, God of Revels, Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, Wolverine, Best There Is, and Super State. As a backup win condition, the deck houses a three-card infinite damage loop using Grumgully, the Generous, Putrid Goblin, and Goblin Bombardment. High-tier free interaction like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick shields key plays, while sweepers such as Toxic Deluge and Fire Covenant maintain board control.
