Auntie Ool - 9/2026 Update by chazm

Format: Commander

Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch leads a Jund aristocrats and counter-manipulation deck built around -1/-1 counters. Auntie Ool turns counter distribution into steady card draw when blighting your own creatures and direct life loss when placing counters on opposing boards. The deck controls the battlefield through attrition pieces like Massacre Girl, Known Killer, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Black Sun's Zenith while building overwhelming board presence with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs. The primary win condition executes an infinite loop combining Blowfly Infestation with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, or Flourishing Defenses to drain opponents or amass lethal armies. Alternatively, All Will Be One burns out the table alongside widespread wither and proliferation effects.
