Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis midrange engine built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. It accelerates into Sauron by Turn 4 using efficient mana rocks and rituals. Once Sauron is active, opposing spells build a massive Orc Army token. Combat connections by the Army trigger the Ring tempts mechanic, allowing you to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards each turn. This massive card velocity feeds damage and drain engines such as All Will Be One, The Great Goblin, Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The deck protects its setup using free interaction like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, backed by Sauron's steep ward cost. It controls the tempo of the table with Silent Arbiter and Orcish Bowmasters before closing the game around Turn 7 through unblockable combat damage and stacked noncombat burn triggers.
