Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Combat Spellslinger strategy led by Fire Lord Azula. The game plan revolves around deploying Azula on Turn 4 and attacking on Turn 5 to generate temporary red mana through firebending while duplicating any spell cast during combat. The 99 supports this aggression with instant-speed combat tricks like Bulk Up and Fists of Flame, which become lethal when copied, alongside flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation and Valley Floodcaller that allow permanent spells to be cast and token-cloned during combat. Card advantage is sustained by magecraft engines such as Archmage Emeritus and Storm-Kiln Artist. The deck protects its commander using flash equipment like Mithril Coat and efficient countermagic. Because it eliminates opponents through sequential combat phases, it delivers a focused clock that closes out games around Turn 7.
