Deck overview

This Bant midrange list is led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, combining Final Fantasy crossover flavor with dedicated +1/+1 counter and proliferate mechanics. The primary strategy focuses on early creature deployment, spreading keyword and +1/+1 counters, and leveraging Tidus's Cheer trigger to draw cards and proliferate each turn. As the board grows, the deck transitions from chip damage to decisive combat pressure using evasion enablers like Herald of Secret Streams, trample from Kodama of the West Tree, or exponential growth from Doubling Season and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower. The deck generates steady incremental card flow and possesses resilience via counter-retention pieces like The Ozolith and Resourceful Defense. However, the absence of counterspells and tutors leaves the deck reliant on natural draws and vulnerable to fast combo strategies and heavy board wipes.
