Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros combat and burn strategy led by Lightning, Army of One. It focuses on dealing early combat damage to trigger Lightning's Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to that opponent until your next turn. The deck magnifies this effect by stacking additional damage multipliers like Furnace of Rath and Fiery Emancipation, taking extra combat phases with Combat Celebrant and Aurelia, the Warleader, or converting combat power into table-wide burn using Chandra's Ignition and Imodane, the Pyrohammer. Low-cost artifacts and white protection spells safeguard key creatures, while Sunforger serves as a versatile utility engine to tutor answers or defensive spells at instant speed. Because the deck wins through combat and direct damage rather than infinite combos, it steadily eliminates opponents over a series of explosive combat steps. It delivers high burst potential while relying on well-timed protection to maintain momentum against opposing interaction.
