Deck overview

This deck is an aristocrats-control and tribal strategy commanded by Vren, the Relentless. It controls the battlefield by casting symmetrical sacrifice spells like Accursed Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Sheoldred's Edict. Vren replaces opposing creature deaths with exile, shutting down opposing graveyard synergies while creating an army of Relentless Rat tokens that scale in power and toughness for each Rat you control. As the token swarm grows, tribal finishers such as Marrow-Gnawer, Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm, and Valley Rotcaller turn board control into lethal combat damage and direct life drain. Card advantage engines like Skullclamp, Braids, Arisen Nightmare, and Kindred Discovery ensure a steady stream of resources, while cheap counterspells and recursion instants protect key pieces from removal. The deck excels at grinding down creature-heavy opponents through asymmetric attrition, transitioning seamlessly into an explosive wide-board finish.
