Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan aristocrats and combo engine commanded by Ghave, Guru of Spores. It revolves around the potent interplay between +1/+1 counters and token generation, leveraging Ghave's activated abilities alongside sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar and doublers such as Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, and Cathars' Crusade. The deck accelerates using premium fast mana and tutors directly into its modular combo pieces. Once Ghave and Ashnod's Altar combine with any counter or token multiplier, the pilot produces infinite mana and infinitely large tokens, closing the table either in the same turn via Zulaport Cutthroat and Slimefoot, the Stowaway, or through an unstoppable combat wave. Although its low land count demands disciplined mulligans and it carries minimal stax elements, the list features potent spot removal, high burst redundancy, and resilient recursive threats.
