Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck is a midrange proliferate build designed to defeat the table through creeping poison counters and accumulating +1/+1 counter value. In the early game, the deck fixes its four-color mana base using basic land searchers and mana artifacts while deploying early poison seeds such as Prologue to Phyresis or Ichor Rats. Once Atraxa, Praetors' Voice enters the battlefield on turn 5, its end-step trigger combines with redundant engines like Evolution Sage and Inexorable Tide to tick up poison counters on all three opponents simultaneously. Because poison counters cannot be removed, the deck converts incremental proliferation into an unavoidable clock by turn 8. A dense suite of countermagic and versatile removal spells protects key permanents and disrupts opposing threats, while secondary beatdown options like Brokers Ascendancy and Consuming Aberration provide alternative combat routes if poison is stalled.
