Salty Seamen by user1454032

Format: Commander

Commander: Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Izzet partner deck is an aggressive Pirate-tribal combo shell. Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator turns Pirate combat damage into Treasures, while Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar triples commander damage so one Malcolm hit pressures all three opponents. From there the deck accelerates into a draw-engine package (Bident, Coastal Piracy, Combat Research) and a Niv-Mizzet finisher. The primary kill is Curiosity/Ophidian Eye or Tandem Lookout on a Niv-Mizzet, with Magda sacrificing five Treasures to cheat Niv-Mizzet, Parun into play. Kediss also offers a secondary commander-damage clock, and the changeling/artifact package (Runed Stalactite, Leyline of Transformation, Pyre of Heroes) provides type-based tutoring. The hidden commander is Niv-Mizzet, Parun; no double-faced commander is present.
