Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord is a Grixis value/amass deck. The primary plan is to use Sauron's Ring-tempt trigger to discard the hand and draw four, filling the graveyard while growing an Orc Army. Secondary paths are a nine-Nazgul 'hidden commander' Wraith package and a reanimator plan that cheats Archon of Cruelty, Balrog, or Terror of the Peaks back with Blood for Bones and Rise of the Dark Realms. The commander is both the card engine and a 7/6 beatstick; the deck wins by converting recycled threats and an amassed Army into lethal combat damage over consecutive turns.
