Deck overview

This mono-black control deck is commanded by Massacre Girl, Known Killer. It turns the commander's wither grant and death-triggered card draw into a potent engine of card advantage and board suppression. The game plan focuses on giving opponents small creature tokens via cards like Genesis Chamber, Forbidden Orchard, and Akroan Horse, then wiping them with low-cost toughness reduction effects such as Illness in the Ranks, Night of Souls' Betrayal, and Golden Demise. Each opposing creature dying with zero or negative toughness refills the player's hand, drawing through the library to assemble big mana generators like Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Once sufficient mana is established, the deck closes the game decisively using a massive Torment of Hailfire, devastating Massacre Wurm life loss, or a total creature lockout with Maha, Its Feathers Night. The deck excels at dominating creature metas while converting removal spells into overwhelming card velocity.
