Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages an aggressive poison and proliferation engine led by Agent Frank Horrigan. The primary game plan focuses on infecting or poisoning each opponent early through low-cost toxic and infect creatures or global poison spells such as Vraska's Fall and Infectious Inquiry. Once every opponent carries at least one poison counter, the deck ramps into Agent Frank Horrigan, whose double-proliferate triggers on entry and attack rapidly escalate poison totals across the entire table simultaneously. Backed by synergistic proliferate engines like Evolution Sage, Contagion Engine, and Contaminant Grafter, the deck bypasses traditional 40-life totals entirely. Efficient Golgari removal spells such as Assassin's Trophy and Anoint with Affliction control opposing threats, while targeted protection spells shield key creatures. The strategy delivers consistent table-wide lethality by Turn 7, converting counter manipulation and -1/-1 attrition into an inevitable clock that ignores conventional life gain.
