Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Blink and Token Copy strategy commanded by Niko, Light of Hope. The primary objective is to deploy efficient mana ramp on Turn 2, cast Niko on Turn 3 or 4 to establish Shard tokens, and curve into powerful nonlegendary creatures with combat or enter-the-battlefield triggers on Turn 4 or 5. By activating Niko's ability, the Shards transform into copies of potent creatures like Battle Angels of Tyr, Nesting Dovehawk, or Starwinder, triggering explosive myriad attacks and massive card advantage. A robust suite of flicker spells such as Ephemerate, Cloudshift, and Soulherder doubles as both value generation and protection. The deck backs up its proactive combat plan with efficient countermagic, flexible spot removal, and sweeping bounce effects, closing out games in one to two combat cycles while maintaining resilience against board wipes.
