Format: Commander

Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

An oppressive mono-black draw-punisher. Sheoldred turns every extra card opponents draw into life loss while her controller's draws gain life. The deck forces those draws with Font of Mythos, Howling Mine, Seizan, Dark Deal, and Teferi's Puzzle Box, stacking Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Orcish Bowmasters. Its crispest kill is Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank once Ascension is active: any opponent life loss mills cards and loops. Vito + Exquisite Blood creates a second infinite drain loop, and tutors find either combination. Big mana from rituals, Cabal Coffers/Urborg, and Nykthos powers Peer into the Abyss, Bolas's Citadel, or Sorin to close games. There is no hidden commander; Sheoldred is the engine, but the deck can operate without her.
