Deck overview

This is a mono-black Voltron/Equipment deck helmed by Thanos, Death's Consort, who grows with +1/+1 counters whenever another creature dies. The plan is to suit Thanos up with one of the deck's 35 Equipment cards and close the game through commander damage, with Super State as the primary finisher - turning Thanos into a 9/9 with flying, first strike, trample, and haste that spreads its combat damage to every opponent. Helm of the Host provides a backup army of Thanos copies, while Tendrils of Agony offers a storm-based alternate line. The deck is extraordinarily artifact-dense (roughly two-thirds of the nonland cards), runs a massive board-wipe package that is effectively one-sided since Thanos is the only creature, and leans on a deep protection suite of hexproof and indestructible effects to keep its lone attacker alive.
