Damage Case (variation) by lennychuck

Format: Commander

Commander: Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer

Bracket: 4

DeckCheck Threat Index: 43

Deck overview

This deck leverages Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer to turn incoming damage into an overwhelming offensive force. Anti-Venom prevents all damage dealt to himself and converts it into +1/+1 counters. By combining him with damage-redirection effects such as Pariah, Pariah's Shield, Nemesis Mask, and Exploding Barrel, you turn enemy attacks and self-inflicted damage into massive counter bursts. Meanwhile, a dense tutor package finds key equipment and auras on demand. Stax and tax permanents like Drannith Magistrate, Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, and Blind Obedience suppress opposing combo and tempo strategies. Once Anti-Venom is suited up with evasion from Commander's Plate, Shadowspear, or Super State, he eliminates players rapidly through commander damage while a deep suite of protection spells shields him from non-damage removal.
