Deck overview

This deck leverages Obeka, Splitter of Seconds to turn combat damage into multiple postcombat upkeep phases. By pairing Obeka with unblockable equipment and auras such as Vorrac Battlehorns, Whispersilk Cloak, and Aqueous Form, the deck guarantees clean combat connections. These combat triggers exponentially accelerate upkeep-dependent cards, including the Monarch Courts, Suspend spells, Initiative rooms, and cumulative win conditions like Darksteel Reactor. Once Obeka connects with an engine like Court of Ambition or Twilight Prophet on the battlefield, opponents lose massive amounts of life and resources in a single turn. The deck quickly closes games through overwhelming asymmetric attrition, extra combat steps, or direct life drain while shielding its commander with instant-speed protection equipment.
