Deck overview

This is a classic Kaalia of the Vast Mardu midrange deck that cheats oversized Angels, Demons, and Dragons into play as attackers. The primary plan is to ramp modestly, deploy Kaalia, and attack to put high-CMC threats directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Wins come through accumulated combat damage from the growing flyer army, supported by a handful of one-sided or symmetric sweepers and political auras. There are no infinite combos or alternate win conditions; the deck is pure combat inevitability. Kaalia is the central engine-her attack trigger is the only reliable way to deploy the expensive threats on curve. Secondary value comes from ETB removal on cards like Angel of Despair and edict effects, plus light stax from Stranglehold and Angelic Arbiter.
