Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Witherbloom, the Balancer commands a Golgari go-wide swarm strategy that converts wide creature boards into crushing mana discounts. The deck floods the battlefield using low-cost mana dorks and token generators like Bitterblossom, Ophiomancer, and Scute Swarm. Once a critical mass of creatures is assembled, Witherbloom enters for minimal mana, granting instant and sorcery spells affinity for creatures. This discount fuels game-ending plays, casting massive Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate spells for only colored pips. Alternatively, the deck tutors for Craterhoof Behemoth using Green Sun's Zenith or Finale of Devastation, overrunning the table with lethal trample combat damage.
