Deck overview

This deck pairs Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan to build an aggressive, compounding +1/+1 counter engine fueled by legendary permanents. Yoshimaru hits the board on turn 1 and rapidly expands in size with every legendary card cast, while Reyhan ensures that accumulated counters are never lost to removal. Counter doublers such as Corpsejack Menace, Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider scale the power of your board exponentially, converting early mana acceleration into overwhelming combat pressure by turn 5. The deck protects its substantial battlefield investment using premier defensive spells like Heroic Intervention, Flawless Maneuver, and Clever Concealment. While it lacks infinite combos and tutor density, its redundant suite of counter payoffs, draw engines like The Great Henge, and counter-saving artifacts like The Ozolith ensure consistent mid-game resilience and formidable combat steps.
