Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on sacrificing creatures to multiply power into a massive army of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The early game establishes mana acceleration through artifacts and lands like Cabal Coffers, while deploying early Zombie fodder. In the mid-game, Gisa converts high-power creatures into exponential board presence, amplified by lords such as Undead Warchief and Death Baron. Asymmetric control pieces like Noxious Ghoul and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet clear opposing blockers, while engines like Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur ensure constant card replenishment. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide combat swings and direct life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Ayara, First of Locthwain. Its major strengths lie in resilient graveyard recursion and overwhelming creature pressure, though it remains vulnerable to sweepers and noncreature artifact engines.
