Deck overview

This deck uses Thranduil, the Elvenking to turn Elf cards in the graveyard into additional activated abilities. Early plays such as Llanowar Elves, Devoted Druid, Sol Ring, and land-search spells build mana while Aftermath Analyst and surveil effects stock the graveyard. After casting Thranduil, the Elvenking, the deck develops a wide Elf board through Lathril, Blade of the Elves, Thranduil, Sindarin Liege, Thranduil the Strategist, and landfall effects. High Perfect Morcant adds asymmetric creature attrition, while Izoni, Thousand-Eyed and Poison-Tip Archer convert dead creatures into cards, tokens, and life loss. The main pressure line needs about ten Elves and repeated Lathril, Blade of the Elves activations, so it is powerful when established but not compact. Removal, counters, and protection are present, although they compete with development and do not fully cover the long closing window.
