Deck overview

This Selesnya midrange deck centers on Kwia Vigorbloom, an Elder Sphinx that converts lifegain triggers into Lotus tokens for explosive bursts of mana. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost lifegain engines like Guide of Souls, Wanderbrine Preacher, and Samwise Gamgee to ensure immediate Lotus production when Kwia enters. Once operational, the extra three mana per turn powers out heavy stompy finishers such as Ghalta the Unstoppable, Summon: Knights of Round, and Contagion Engine. Supporting cards distribute +1/+1 counters and augment combat with keywords like trample, flying, and vigilance. The deck functions within standard casual power, utilizing light tax pieces like Thalia, the Survivor and Esper Sentinel to slow opponents. Its primary vulnerabilities are a tight 24-land mana base that demands careful mulligans, and a reliance on untapping with large creature boards over multiple combat rotations.
