Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mono-Green Stompy strategy commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana on Turn 1 with efficient mana dorks, deploying over-statted, high-power creatures like Pugnacious Hammerskull and Steel Leaf Champion on Turns 2 and 3, and casting Ghalta for its minimum cost of {G}{G} as early as Turn 4. Once Ghalta is on the battlefield, the deck converts its massive 12/12 body into enormous card advantage through power-scaling draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Return of the Wildspeaker. Combat damage is amplified using overrun effects such as Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth to eliminate opponents across successive turns. While the deck possesses explosive power and strong recovery from standard removal thanks to its redundant large threats, it relies heavily on combat and remains vulnerable to exile-based board sweepers and countermagic.
