Deck overview

Tidus, Yuna's Guardian commands a Bant midrange aggressive deck designed around +1/+1 counters, keyword counters, and compounding proliferation. The strategy establishes early acceleration and counter generators on turns 1 and 2, deploying Tidus on turn 3 to begin shifting counters and triggering Cheer. By turn 4, the deck brings online compounding engines like Brokers Ascendancy, Denry Klin, Editor in Chief, or Innkeeper's Talent, steadily drawing cards and proliferating during combat. Critical onset occurs around turn 6, when multi-counter growth, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and evasion enablers like Champion of Lambholt or Sphere Grid create a lethal board state. The deck systematically eliminates opponents through evasive combat over turns 6 to 8. A dense suite of countermagic, shield counters, and Inspiring Call shields the board against opposing interaction, while Damning Verdict and Auron, Venerated Guardian provide asymmetric board control to clear pathways for victory.
