Serpent Society

Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Golgari deathtouch deck built around The Serpent Society and Fynn, the Fangbearer as a hidden commander. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap deathtouch creatures, swing with several of them while Fynn is in play, and put opponents to ten poison counters; toxic creatures and proliferate spells reinforce that clock. The commander contributes a sturdy deathtouch blocker, a ward that taxes removal with five poison, and a death trigger that strips blockers through forced sacrifices. Secondary paths grow The Serpent Society with Vraska, Swarm's Eminence and Aveline de Grandpre into a commander-damage kill, or grind opponents down with recursion and death triggers. The deck draws well but is vulnerable without Fynn.
