Deck overview

This Sultai deck is led by Teval, the Balanced Scale and blends self-mill with landfall engines. The strategy accelerates in the early turns using green ramp and low-cost self-mill creatures to fill the graveyard with lands and high-impact permanents. Once Teval attacks, each combat step reclaims lands and generates Zombie Druid tokens. Mid-game turns capitalize on explosive mass-landfall cards like Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, Avenger of Zendikar, and Scute Swarm, or game-warping mass reanimation via Living Death. Flying from Wonder in the graveyard grants the entire board evasion to close out games across two attack cycles. While the deck possesses immense engine resilience and rapid board recovery, it runs sparse instant-speed interaction and minimal plan protection, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and dedicated graveyard exile.
