Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Voltron and token-aggro list commanded by Shagrat, Loot Bearer. The primary game plan revolves around casting heavy, high-impact Equipment with prohibitive equip costs—such as Colossus Hammer and Argentum Armor—early in the game, then casting Shagrat to bypass those equip costs entirely on attack. Each attack automatically attaches an Equipment to Shagrat and amasses an Orc Army proportional to his attached gear, applying simultaneous single-target commander damage and wide board presence. The deck features strong functional redundancy across its 28 Equipment cards and supports mid-game aggression with combat accelerants like Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Reckless Crew. While the deck recovers well from removal due to equipment persistence, its clock relies entirely on combat damage over multiple turn rotations, making it vulnerable to well-timed creature removal and artifact sweepers.
