Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy build centered on Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The primary strategy leverages heavily undercosted, high-power creatures like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Regal Imperiosaur to quickly build total board power to 10 or greater. This reduces Ghalta's casting cost to just {G}{G}, reliably deploying a 12/12 trample commander as early as Turn 4. Once assembled, the deck draws continuous cards through power-trigger enchantments like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond, keeping its hand replenished as it deploys additional massive threats. Lethal pressure starts on Turn 5, using Ghalta's trample and overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth to eliminate opponents through sequential combat steps by Turn 8. While vulnerable to board wipes and lacking stack interaction, the deck exhibits robust recovery through redundant high-power threats in the 99 and quick commander recast potential.
