Commander: Gimli of the Glittering Caves

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This mono-red Equipment/voltron deck is helmed by Gimli of the Glittering Caves, a double-striking 1/1 that grows whenever another legendary enters and creates Treasures on combat damage. The core plan is to suit Gimli with evasion (Trailblazer's Boots, Prowler's Helm, Rogue's Passage) and power-boosting equipment (Bloodforged Battle-Axe, Adaptive Omnitool), then amplify his damage with Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Gratuitous Violence to burn all opponents simultaneously. Extra combat via Seize the Day enables same-turn kills. A secondary token-and-ping subtheme (Reckless Fireweaver, Weftstalker Ardent) and Hellkite Tyrant's artifact-based alternate win condition provide backup, but the deck ultimately closes through commander damage spread across the table.
