Deck overview

This deck leverages Smaug the Impenetrable as an explosive mana engine and resilient combat threat. By combining Smaug's indestructible body and haste with high-damage burn spells like Blasphemous Act, Cut Propulsion, and Star of Extinction, the deck converts self-targeted noncombat damage into massive stockpiles of Treasure tokens. These Treasures quickly fuel decisive finishers, including a lethal Crackle with Power, an upkeep victory through Hellkite Tyrant, or an infinite damage loop with Blazing Sunsteel. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through low-cost rocks, Dwarves, and treasure generators. Mid-game turns wipe opposing creature boards while triggering Smaug, immediately pivoting into game-ending burn or dragon beatdown. While the deck boasts high redundancy for damage enablers and heavy resilience against destroy-based removal, it remains vulnerable to exile effects and non-creature permanents due to limited stack interaction and protective equipment.
