Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact stompy strategy designed to deploy massive, game-ending artifacts well ahead of curve. In the early game, Tony Stark digs through the library to assemble mana rocks, equipment, and high-impact threats. On Turn 5, paying his activation cost transforms him into The Invincible Iron Man, a 5/5 flying creature with haste. At the beginning of combat, he cheats an artifact directly from hand onto the battlefield, auto-attaching equipment like Excalibur, Sword of Eden or deploying devastating threats like Portal to Phyrexia and Darksteel Colossus. The deck applies rapid commander damage and overwhelming combat pressure across consecutive turns. A robust suite of cost reducers, graveyard recursion from Goblin Welder and Emry, Lurker of the Loch, and protective pieces like Commander's Plate and Darksteel Forge keep the engine resilient against removal.
