Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Izzet deck pairs Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer with the Background Clan Crafter to create a goad-and-treasure engine that snowballs into a critical mass of artifact tokens. The primary game plan leans on Baeloth's goad ability to force opponents' creatures into attacking each other, generating Treasure tokens on each goaded creature's death. Clan Crafter then converts those artifacts into +1/+1 counters and card draw on the commander, turning him into a growing threat that fuels further goad. The deck also packs a robust proliferate suite (Inexorable Tide, Tezzeret's Gambit, Contentious Plan) to spread counters, copy effects (Rite of Replication, Extravagant Replication) to multiply value pieces, and extra-turn spells (Time Warp, Temporal Manipulation, Temporal Mastery) to break parity. Alternate wins include Triskaidekaphile (exactly 13 cards in hand), Knuckles the Echidna (30+ artifacts), or simply overwhelming combat advantage backed by Academy Manufactor and Xorn.
