Vivi by dylanemblin

Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck uses Vivi Ornitier as its central drain and mana engine. Every noncreature spell puts a +1/+1 counter on Vivi and deals 1 damage to each opponent, and Vivi's {0} ability adds mana equal to its power once per turn to extend spell chains. You multiply that output with redundant pingers such as Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Coruscation Mage, Electro, Assaulting Battery and Veyran, Voice of Duality, while Archmage Emeritus, Archmage of Runes and Rhystic Study keep cards flowing. Secondary wins are infinite: Niv-Mizzet, Parun with Curiosity or Tandem Lookout for infinite draw-damage, and Thousand-Year Storm with Storm-Kiln Artist, Narset's Reversal and Reverberate to make infinite copies and treasures into Grapeshot or Volcanic Geyser. Niv-Mizzet acts as a hidden commander when Vivi is removed.
