Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger tempo strategy commanded by Eris, Roar of the Storm. The primary game plan revolves around rapidly stocking the graveyard with instants and sorceries of differing mana values in the early turns, drastically reducing Eris's casting cost from ten mana down to as little as two mana. Once deployed, Eris converts double-spell turns into an escalating aerial army of 4/4 red Dragon Elemental creature tokens with flying and prowess. Supported by cheap cantrips, cost reducers, and efficient instant-speed interaction, the deck frequently triggers Eris on both its own turn and opponents' turns. Damage multipliers such as Dragon Tempest, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Fiery Inscription rapidly convert these flying tokens into lethal pressure, closing out games via combat and direct damage without needing infinite combos.
