Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-blue spellslinger tempo and control build commanded by Talrand, Sky Summoner. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Talrand early, then casting a dense suite of low-mana cantrips, card draw spells, and efficient countermagic. Each instant and sorcery creates a 2/2 blue Drake token with flying, turning interactive and filtering spells into an evasive army. Card advantage engines such as Archmage Emeritus, Bident of Thassa, and Curiosity Crafter ensure the hand stays full as the token swarm expands. Anthems including Favorable Winds and Banner of Kinship rapidly scale token power to close games through overwhelming combat damage. The deck also includes an infinite mana and infinite cast loop with Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal, alongside high-impact late-game threats like Hullbreaker Horror. Resilient protection equipment and an extensive counterspell suite keep Talrand alive while steadily depleting opposing resources.
