Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Simic +1/+1 counter and Insect-token deck built around The Astonishing Ant-Man. The commander is a two-mana engine: every card drawn puts a counter on him, and his tap ability converts any number of counters directly into 1/1 Insects. The deck surrounds that core with redundant draw triggers and counter multipliers-Teferi's Ageless Insight, Proft's Eidetic Memory, The Earth Crystal, Hardened Scales, and Doubling Season-to make each draw spell explosive. Ant-Man, Colony Commander acts as a hidden second commander, generating extra Insects on every counter placement. The army then wins through Craterhoof Behemoth, Champion of Lambholt unblockability, or a massive Banner of Kinship pump. It is a value/go-wide strategy with no infinite combos, relying on card velocity and multiplicative permanents rather than tutors or compact two-card kills.
