Edgar Markov by Luvd2death

Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An aggressive Mardu Vampire-tribal deck helmed by Edgar Markov, whose eminence ability creates a 1/1 Vampire token for every Vampire spell you cast - even while he remains in the command zone. The primary plan is a wide go-wide swarm: cheap Vampires, lords like Stromkirk Captain, Legion Lieutenant and Markov Baron, and counter engines like Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Rakish Heir and Necropolis Regent turn chaff into a lethal army, while Edgar's own haste attack pumps the whole team the turn he lands. A parallel life-drain subtheme - Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, Falkenrath Noble, Vengeful Bloodwitch - bleeds the table on every death, including wipes. The deck can also pivot to an infinite-drain combo: Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Marauding Blight-Priest, Epicure of Blood or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose ends the game on the spot. With no counterspells and no tutors, success rides on curve development and redundant tribal draws.
