Deck overview

This deck uses Elda, Conjurer of Spectacle to copy the first nonlegendary creature spell each turn. The copied spell becomes a token for you and an opponent, so the deck wants creatures whose bodies or enter-the-battlefield effects scale with a wide board. Early mana creatures and land-ramp spells support Elda, Conjurer of Spectacle around turns 4–5. Cheap creatures and Slivers then build a board while cards such as Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation multiply tokens. The primary finish is Craterhoof Behemoth, which is copied by Elda, Conjurer of Spectacle and produces a hasty, trampling attack. A sufficiently developed board can eliminate all three opponents on the casting turn. The deck has solid protection and removal, but its enchantment access is limited, its commander is vulnerable, and it gives opponents useful creature copies during development.
