Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Blech, Loafing Pest to convert repeatable lifegain triggers into massive power across an army of Pest creature tokens. Supported by robust early ramp, the deck rapidly establishes its commander on Turn 3 and begins deploying token generators like Lluwen, Exchange Student // Pest Friend, Essenceknit Scholar, and Blight Mound. Incidental lifegain triggers from attacking Pests, death triggers, and utility creatures grow the board into lethal combat threats by Turn 6. Alongside broad combat damage, Aristocrat pieces like Blood Artist, South Wind Avatar, and Cauldron of Essence weaponize token attrition to drain the table. As a backup win condition, the list runs the infinite drain combo of Enduring Tenacity and Exquisite Blood. While the deck possesses strong internal engine recovery and extreme token redundancy, it suffers from minimal instant-speed stack interaction and a vulnerability to board sweepers due to a lack of mass protection spells.
