Deck overview

This deck is a kindred artifact control strategy helmed by Reaper King. It leverages cheap Scarecrows and Changelings to turn every creature cast into a flexible permanent destruction trigger. The early game focuses on ramping and establishing all five colors through artifacts like Chromatic Lantern and mana-fixing creatures like Scuttlemutt. Once Reaper King enters on Turn 5, subsequent Scarecrows methodically dismantle opposing engines, commanders, and mana bases. Card advantage engines such as One with the Machine, Distant Melody, and Vanquisher's Banner keep the hand refueled to maintain pressure. The deck finishes games through combat damage with an anthem-buffed artifact creature board, commander attacks, or overrun effects from Mirror Entity and Cranial Plating. It provides a classic attrition-heavy midrange experience with explosive blowouts from mass-trigger cards like Rite of Replication and Ghostway.
