Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir spellslinger control list commanded by Lord of the Nazgûl. The strategy revolves around controlling the pace of the game through an extensive suite of over 20 counterspells and removal spells while simultaneously weaponizing every cast trigger into 3/3 menace Wraith tokens. Changeling creatures like Shapesharer and Mischievous Sneakling accelerate the commander's 9-Wraith threshold, enabling explosive board-wide buffs that turn every Wraith into a 9/9 attacker. Card velocity is sustained by engines such as Archmage Emeritus, Rhystic Study, and Notion Thief, while late-game refill is guaranteed by Wisdom of Ages. The deck features high redundancy, flexible interaction, and robust backup token generators in Talrand, Sky Summoner and Vren, the Relentless, allowing it to grind out opponents and close the game via overwhelming menace combat.
