Deck overview

Katara, Seeking Revenge leads a Dimir control strategy that pairs instant and sorcery spellslinging with the Lesson mechanic. Katara enters the battlefield to filter cards and grows progressively larger as Lesson spells fill your graveyard. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and cost reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance to enable efficient interaction. As the game develops, token generators such as Talrand, Sky Summoner and Urza, Lord High Artificer convert cheap cantrips and Lessons into a formidable battlefield presence. The deck closes games through evasive combat damage, either by swinging with a massive Katara equipped with Trailblazer's Boots or swarming opponents with an evasive Drake army.
